I just got back from an amazing family vacation in Florida, where we spent the entire time on the beach just relaxing. We also spent some time indulging too. Needless to say, I had a little too much fun on vacation and I let myself splurge on my diet. So of course what happened? I got two big pimples right on my chin. Being a very busy mom of three, I didn't have the time to run out and get a facial. To be honest I also didn't really want to spend the extra money after being on a two week vacation. So I created this face mask with things I already had in my kitchen. Its super easy to make and it smells and tastes great too.
Face Mask ingredients with their benefits -
1/2 lemon - anti-bacterial and levels out the PH balance of your skin, high in vitamin c which helps remove toxins
3 tablespoons of honey - antibacterial, good for healing wounds
2 tablespoons of baking soda - evens skin tone, exfoliates, and balances PH levels
1 egg white- removes impurities
3 drops of tea tree oil - antibacterial, reduces inflammation, natural antiseptic
1/4 cup cacao - high in antioxidants and helps repair the skin
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl until it forms a paste. You may have to add more cacao if its too runny. Apply evenly to the face, avoiding eyes and lips, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash it completely off and moisturize as normal.
I did notice a difference almost immediately and by the next day my pimples were dried out and almost gone. So I definitely recommend trying it, especially since it's made with ingredients most of us have on hand anyway. See for yourself and let me know what you think by posting a comment.
