Matcha Latte Recipe

I love the ritual of making myself a hot frothy drink in the morning. I use a huge mug that I can wrap my whole hands around and I soak up the warmth and welcome the morning. However, because coffee and regular milk do not work well with my body, I’ve had to get inventive with how I create this experience. I have invented a few concoctions that satisfy my cravings, one of which is a dairy-free, superfood, matcha latte. If not made correctly, matcha can have an odd taste, but I have perfected this recipe so it tastes amazing. Its creamy, warm, has a great flavor, and is energizing without making you feel jittery.
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon organic matcha powder
1 scoop of collagen
1 Tablespoon MCT oil
1 inch ginger, peeled
1/4 cup plant based milk
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
ground, cinnamon, ground cloves, and monkfruit sweetener to taste
sprinkle of black pepper (to activate the turmeric)
Directions:
Heat between 10-12 ounces of water and bring to a boil
Put all of the ingredients into a blender
Add hot water to the blender with the rest of the ingredients
Blend on high for 30 seconds
Pour into a mug and enjoy
Notes:
*It should be noted that I usually cook intuitively, which means that I normally don’t measure anything unless I’m following a recipe. I did measure for this so that I could share it with you but some of the measurements aren’t exact. The spices and sweetener have no measurements because they should be added according to your taste.
